American Heart Association Heartsaver Total
First Aid, CPR with AED Training
Heartsaver courses are designed for the general public, business professionals (not medical professionals), child care professionals, and babysitters. The course is a video-based, instructor-led course taught by Dana Lathrope, and includes instructions for adult, child, and infant CPR. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. For Heartsaver courses taken at Real Eye Zing Art, students receive a course completion card that is valid for 2-years.
This one-day, all-day course with breaks has hands-on CPR training with adult and infant mannequins, AED use, wound care, epi-pen auto-injectors, stroke recognition, and general first aid.

Cost

Group class: $85 per person maximum nine students per class

Private class: $100 per person up to two students maximum (call for availability)

Bloodborne Pathogen Class
This short, 15-minute class can be added to any Heartsaver class -or- is available at noon on selected weekdays by contacting Dana for availability. Upon completion of this course, participants receive a book and a certificate that is good for 1-year.

What Does This Course Teach?
You will learn critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrive. Students learn duties and responsibilities of first aid rescuers; first aid actions for medical emergencies, including severe choking, heart attack, and stroke; and skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies, including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings.
